Delhi University will conduct spot rounds to fill the remaining undergraduate seats in its 68 colleges, of which 5,468 are still available.
The university is in the final stages of the admission phase as it completed its third seat allotment list on August 26, leading to a total of 65,532 admissions since the process began on July 17.
The Delhi University will start a spot round from Tuesday to fill the remaining seats in undergraduate courses in its 68 colleges for candidates who have not been allotted any seats so far, university officials said on Monday.
Officials said that out of a total of 71,000 seats in various courses, 5,468 seats are vacant.
“There will be spot round for those who have not been allotted any seat earlier. Only those students who have registered on the online portal of Delhi University will be eligible for this round, said Anand Sonkar, deputy dean of admissions.
Officials said that the university will try to fill all the vacant seats during this round which ends on September 5.
According to a press release issued on Monday, the vacant seats will be announced on Tuesday (August 29) at 5 p.m. Candidates can apply for the spot round till 4.59 pm on Wednesday (August 30). The allotments will be declared on 1st September at 5 PM. As per the notification, candidates can accept their seats till September 3 and pay their fees till September 5.
Meanwhile, officials said the upgrade window, which allows students to choose a course of their choice if they have not been allotted a course in the first instance, is applicable only to students who have been admitted to the CW (Armed Entry was made through the children/widows of the personnel). Force), ECA (Extra-curricular Activities), and Sports Categories.
Sonkar said those hoping to be upgraded after the third round can retain their existing seats.
