It’s no surprise that people often get tired of chicken, but trust me, this recipe is one from the books. The creamy, cheesy, bacon topping is so great you’ll want to make it again and again!

  1. Step -1

Grab a 9×13 baking pan, a mixing bowl, rubber spatula, a cutting board, and a sharp knife.

  2. Step -2

Preheat your oven to 350°F. Begin by preheating the oven to (175 °C). Meanwhile, use the time to crisp 8 strips of bacon.

  3. Step -3

Wash 2 pounds chicken breasts under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Trim off any excess fat, if necessary. Then arrange them in an even layer in your baking dish.

  4. Step -4

Use your rubber spatula to spread the cheese mixture in an even layer over the chicken breasts. Then, top with any remaining Cheddar cheese if desired.

  5. Step -5

Place chicken in oven and preheat to 350°F. Bake at (175 °C) for 30-40 minutes, or until the internal temperature of your chicken breasts is at least 165 °F (74 °C). Check the chicken breast either by cutting it into the center of the dish or using a meat thermometer.

  6. Step -6

Remove baking dish from oven and serve immediately. Garnish with additional bacon and green onions when serving.

  7. Step -7

If you want to keep dinner simple, some quick and easy side choices like Crunchy Roasted Red Potatoes and Roasted Green Beans would be a good choice. A slightly special salad dressing always makes this a hit with the kiddos. enjoy!
