Students Appeared for UPSC 2023 Prelims
The preliminary examination witnessed a significant turnout as 43 percent of the candidates chose to skip the exam. Out of the total 40,018 candidates, only 57.10 percent showed up for the examination. In the morning shift, 23,123 aspirants (57.78 percent) appeared, while 16,895 candidates decided to abstain. Similarly, during the second shift, 22,851 candidates (57.10 percent) appeared for the exam, while 17,167 opted out. Those who appeared for the exam expressed that the General Studies (GS) paper was notably challenging compared to the previous year.
